Hospitalist Physician

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in historic Portsmouth, VA is adding

One PRN Hospitalist MD to our Team!

• Family or Internal Medicine
• MD / DO - BC / BE
• Eligible candidates must have completed U.S.-based Residency
• 2 years of inpatient practice experience is preferred, but will consider new grads.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 shifts per month including week night coverage and occasional weekends
• 12 hour shifts
• Our PRN providers cover mainly nights and weekends
• We do ask to assist with coverage on holidays as needed.
• Up to 7 to 10 admissions possible per shift
• Patient ages 18+
• Responsible for patient consults
• Night shift responsible for floor calls
• We do not run codes - except during simultaneous code assistance
• Closed ICU - 24 hour intensivist on site
• Cross Coverage between Day time admitter and night shift provider
