About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 3 years in Critical Care preferred; will consider strong candidates without 3 years.

License : Virginia or Compact License required at the time of submittal.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.

Must-Have : Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke).

Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit.

Description :

Located in a beautiful area known for outdoor activities.

The area offers trails for all levels of hikers and numerous waterways to explore.

The position requires strong neuro experience, including management of post-neurosurgical patients, EVD, and stroke.

Experience with ventilators, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia, and emergency management is essential.

The patient ratio is 1 : 2-3.

Daily responsibilities may include caring for patients with neurosurgical and post-stroke conditions, respiratory failure, renal failure, trauma, sepsis, and heart failure.

The candidate must be proficient in Epic and prepared to float to various units, including stepdown, ED, or MedSurg if necessary.

Candidates must have no prior license or background hits.

Fit testing history is required, as the facility cannot accommodate a PAPR.

Rigorous testing will be conducted to ensure proper EKG interpretation skills.

Only candidates residing more than 50 miles from the facility are eligible.

Modules are required prior to the start of the position to ensure readiness.
