Position Description

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate procurement of materials to support production schedules. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and minimize shortages.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor material requirements and place purchase orders to meet production schedules.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels by analyzing demand forecasts and adjusting procurement plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure material availability.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks related to material shortages or excess inventory.
• Update and maintain accurate records in the ERP / MRP system.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning efficiency.
