  • Call Ratio : TBD
  • Call Response Time : 30 minutes COVERAGE DATES
  • Starting December 1, 2025 (ongoing, end date unknown)

PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : Pediatrics (75%), Adults (25%)
  • Patient Volume / Census : Variable, ~15 shifts / month
  • Admissions : No direct admissions; consult-based
  • Rounding : Included
  • Phone Consults : Yes
  • Case Mix : NICU babies (no hearts), pediatric orthopedics (no spine), ENT, dental, GI, MRI sedation, general pediatric surgery, adult general anesthesia

  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Pediatric anesthesia : NICU, ENT, dental, GI, MRI, general surgery, orthopedic (no spine)
  • Adult anesthesia : General cases
  • Medical direction and solo cases

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC accepted)
  • Board : Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Pediatric fellowship required)
  • DEA : Active DEA required
  • Certifications : ACLS, PALS
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year post-training
  • Other Qualifications : Ability to work with both pediatric and adult patients

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide anesthesia services for pediatric and adult patients
  • Perform solo cases and provide medical direction for CRNAs
  • Cover weekday, overnight pager call, and weekend beeper call
  • Respond to pediatric cases while on pager call (30-minute response)
  • Ensure safe, effective perioperative care in line with hospital protocols
