JOB DESCRIPTION Engineering Program Manager

The engineering program manager will be responsible for performing tasks related to managing the execution of new product development programs, and leading improvements to best practices and standard procedures in design and development. The individual will interact with design engineers within a mixed discipline project structure. Responsibilities include planning schedules, outlining deliverables, and setting milestones for the assigned programs. The sr. program manager will monitor project costs and integration / test schedules with the operations group, in addition to supporting the build of the first-of-kind tools within the framework of the product lifecycle development process. The selected individual will work with a skilled and motivated engineering team including mechanical, electrical, controls, software engineers, technicians, and consultants on multiple projects, which may include new product development, product continuous improvements, value engineering, cost reductions and application-specific customizations. The position reports to the SVP of New Product Development in Florham Park, NJ.

Required Qualifications :

• BS degree in Engineering or Science
• 7+ years of experience managing development of automated equipment for the semiconductor, electronics or medical manufacturing industries.
• Experience introducing new products into the market from concept to commercialization.
• Ability and willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities & assignments.
• Experience managing software & firmware releases in coordination with hardware designs.
