National Generator Growth Manager
Hybrid- Field Driven Position - Close to a major airport and center required.
Southern Home Services is seeking to add an experienced and strategic National Generator Growth Manager.

The National Generator Growth Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth in residential and light commercial spaces. This role combines understanding technical expertise and aspects of generators but also being savvy with sales enablement to influence outcomes through training, strategy, and collaboration while scaling to centers throughout our company The ideal candidate will be Generac-certified (or equivalent), with proven success in generator sales leadership and the ability to scale consistent growth strategies nationwide.
Sales Enablement & Growth
- Drive residential and light commercial generator and sales through technical training, upselling strategies, and sales team partnership of leadership and field sales teams.
- Collaborate with regional leadership and local teams to identify growth opportunities using strategic processes, ensuring consistent messaging and execution across all centers by providing constant training, setting up reoccurring meetings to ensure consistency.
- Develop relationships with product vendors, sales managers, and technicians, leveraging technical insights and solution-based recommendations tailored to seasonality and market demand.
Technical Training & Product Expertise
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for sales staff, technicians, and partners to strengthen knowledge of generators, electrical systems, and applications.Act as the subject matter expert for residential generators (Generac and other major brands),Monitor market trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings to ensure best-in-class training, positioning, and product selection.Utilizing reporting to make data driven decisions to help influence and make immediate impacts.Work with pricing coordinator and centers to ensure product offerings are impactful.Multi-Site Oversight & Collaboration
Provide leadership, guidance, and influence across multiple sites to align generator sales strategies, proper and strategic scaling, and overall execution of implementing rolled focus points..Partner with regional and local managers to roll out national product-focused training and sales initiatives.Coordinate on sight training with vendor partners as well as creating incentives, rebate programs, etc.Maintain standard operating procedures and ensure consistency in product representation, technical implementation, rebates, and pricebook adherence.Strategic Planning & Travel
Travel up to 75–80% to visit centers, support regional teams, conduct live training, and attend industry events and vendor meetings.Frequent collaboration with senior leadership to align generator goals, strategies, and vendor updates.Required Qualifications :
5+ years of residential or light commercial generator industry experience with strong technical knowledge of systems, codes, and products.3+ years in a leadership role, with proven experience in sales, technical sales, or scaling sales programs to teams. Multi-site management / influence not required, but preferred.Generac certification (or equivalent) preferred.Demonstrated success influencing sales outcomes through training, technical coaching, and consultative selling.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.Electrical license or certification (preferred).Service Titan / CRM system experience strongly preferred.The physical requirements of this job include :
Ability to work at a desk while sitting and / or standing at a workstation.Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms while demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft platforms as well as other digital technologies.Work performed primarily in office and training environments, with occasional field and site visits which may require exposure to varying weather conditions, and potential hazardous environments encountered in the field.Southern Home Services will make reasonable accommodations to allow an employee to perform the essential functions of the job.
