Job Summary :

The Shop Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of construction equipment and machinery within the shop facility.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance on a variety of construction equipment.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in construction machinery.
Performs repairs and part replacements to ensure equipment functionality and safety.
Maintains detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment condition.
Provides regular status updates on equipment maintenance schedules.
Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines during all maintenance and repair activities.
Conducts safety inspections on equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
Coordinates with project managers, field mechanics, and other stakeholders to prioritize equipment repairs based on project needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.

Works well independently and with others.

Good communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

Familiar with various parts of software

Education & Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.

At least two years of experience in a related role is required.

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach clean, and service machinery.

Must be able to visually inspect machines.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
