Consulting Director, Permitting Specialist
ERM is seeking an experienced Consulting Director, Permitting Specialist with demonstrated experience managing permitting capital projects in New England and New York . The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, New England General Permits, and local land development regulations across the Northeast. With solid technical expertise leading multi-media environmental permitting efforts under the purview of state agencies, you will lead on the development of large‑scale capital expansion projects in the energy and power sector.
This is a new position, a great opportunity created for a senior leader to capitalize on recent client demand for energy transition services. You will have the chance to use the highly recognized ERM platform to grow our consulting offer for permitting‑related project work, support the building of ERM’s team in the Northeast, and network with ERM’s global technical team to share best practices across the industry.
We are open to hybrid or remote working within the Northeast area.

Compensation & Benefits
For the Consulting Director, Permitting Specialist (Director Level) position, the annual base pay ranges from $147,670 to $173,400 (USD). Pay is based on factors including education, qualifications, experience, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, and business needs. This role may be eligible for bonus pay; however, casual and fixed‑term / flex force employees are not bonus eligible.
