This role will involve reviewing and approving complex aerospace engineering drawings and 3D models for accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability. The ideal Engineering Drawing Reviewer (Aerospace) will possess deep expertise in ASME and ISO standards, GD&T, and CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA V5), and will work closely with engineers, designers, and program managers to ensure the highest level of product definition quality and compliance with ITAR requirements.

Job Description :
Trilyon, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Engineering Drawing Reviewer (Aerospace) to support aerospace design and development programs. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving engineering drawings, ensuring that all designs meet ASME, ISO, and company standards while maintaining dimensional and geometric accuracy. The Engineering Drawing Reviewer (Aerospace) will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify errors, ensure compliance, and maintain quality across product documentation and release processes.
The successful Engineering Drawing Reviewer (Aerospace) must demonstrate strong technical acumen, hands-on CAD experience, and familiarity with aerospace product definition standards. The position requires full on-site work and adherence to ITAR export control regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and approve engineering drawings and 3D models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASME, ISO, and company standards.
Verify dimensional and geometric accuracy using GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5-2009, ISO GPS).
Identify and report non-compliance issues , inconsistencies, and omissions to design and project teams for correction.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and program managers to ensure that designs meet customer, functional, and manufacturability requirements .
Conduct tolerance stack analyses to confirm accuracy and completeness.
Review and validate 3D models to ensure alignment with associated 2D drawings.
Maintain detailed records of drawing reviews, revisions, and approvals.
Participate in business requirement discussions and provide key technical input for new designs and change requests.
Guide and mentor team members on best practices in engineering drawing standards and quality .
Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements in design review and release workflows.
Lead and support data segregation, triaging, and release processes for aerospace components.
Ensure compliance with ITAR regulations and company export control policies at all times.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience).
4 6 years of experience reviewing or creating aerospace engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and relevant codes (ASME, ISO).
Certified and experienced in GD&T principles (minimum 5 years) .
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks and CATIA V5 (minimum 8 years of experience preferred).
Experience in Aerospace Mechanical Engineering Product Definition Engineering is required.
Skilled in interpreting orthographic, isometric, and sectional views.
Experience in data segregation, triaging , and release processes .
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Familiarity with design and manufacturing environments within aerospace or defense industries.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder ; U.S. Citizens preferred due to ITAR compliance requirements.
