Preconstruction / Estimating Intern (Summer 2026)

Iconica is seeking a Preconstruction / Estimating Intern to join our team in Summer 2026!

As a Preconstruction / Estimating Intern, you’ll work closely with our experienced Preconstruction Managers and play an important role in connecting design and construction, gaining hands-on experience in the process.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams.
• Attending pre-bid meetings and visiting project sites.
• Reading and interpreting project specifications and construction drawings.
• Using industry-leading software, such as On-Screen Takeoff, Autodesk Assemble, Excel, Revit, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Plan-Room, and more.
• Building and maintaining historical cost databases.
• Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and evaluate quotes.
• Assisting with project schedule and budget preparation.
