We are representing a leading General Contractor specializing in Affordable Housing construction projects across the Bay Area.
With a stable pipeline of projects on the horizon, they are seeking a Senior Superintendent to join their team.
Position Overview :
As a Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects in the Bay Area.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-site construction activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing the work of laborers and tradespeople.
- Ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
- a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
- regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or delays that may arise during construction.
- project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure that project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
- identify and address any potential risks or obstacles to project success.
- a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and productivity.
Qualifications :
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of subcontractors and laborers.
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred).
