Nights, 3x12-hour shifts

Position Requirements :

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Role Overview :

The Travel RN provides high-quality patient care in a long-term acute care (LTAC) setting, ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care

Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide patient / family education

Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission

Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety

Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing staff

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses

Promote a safe environment through adherence to hospital policies and procedures

Assume charge responsibilities as requested and prioritize tasks to optimize patient care

Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study
