Job Description Assistant Project Manager
General Function :
A reputable General Contractor in the Southeast is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with approximately 2 years of construction experience . The ideal candidate will support the Project Manager in overseeing all activities associated with the execution of construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager will communicate daily with the project team to help ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards meet company expectations.
Essential Duties :
- Assist in establishing and maintaining project schedules and budgets
- Communicate daily with the project team
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and owners as needed
- Support the issuance of subcontracts and coordination of subcontractors
- Review, organize, and submit project submittals for approval
- Help coordinate and track material deliveries
- Participate in meetings with city, state, and utility officials for project coordination
- Update and distribute weekly project status reports
- Assist with budget tracking and monthly reporting to management
- Support project closeout activities
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in construction, engineering, or a related fieldApproximately 2 years of construction experienceProficiency in MS Project, Excel, and WordStrong ability to multitask and prioritizeMust be willing to relocate to ChattanoogaBased in Chattanooga; travel to jobsites required up to 30%Job Type : Full-time
