Electro Mechanical Manager

Location : Romeoville IL

Schedule : M-F

Pay rate : $100K-$115k

Duties :

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety rules, OSHA standards, and company policies.

Lead and coordinate Technician work assignments, downtime reporting, and documentation.

Collaborate with the Site Manager to schedule and oversee repairs, maintenance, and installations of injection molding and blow molding machines, tooling, and support equipment.

Evaluate maintenance work orders, prioritize tasks, and assign internal or external resources based on expertise and availability.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime of plastics processing equipment.

Inspect and test injection molding and blow molding machinery for conformance with operational standards.

Research and recommend suppliers, technologies, and methods to improve cost efficiency and quality in plastics manufacturing operations.

Respond to emergency maintenance requests, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Partner with leadership to assess and plan capital expenditure needs for plastics machinery and facility improvements.

Manage procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies for maintenance and production projects.

Provide training and guidance to technicians on machine changeovers, mold setup, and downstream plastics equipment.

Oversee facility-related maintenance tasks such as HVAC, security, carpentry, painting, and janitorial.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports for management review.

Support other company locations as needed, including occasional travel.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Technical or vocational degree / certificate required; 10+ years of experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (injection molding and blow molding strongly preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong knowledge of plastics machinery, mold setup, and downstream equipment.

Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic theory, electrical theory, and OSHA 70E NFPA standards.

Skilled in troubleshooting PLC-controlled injection molding and blow molding machinery, as well as ancillary plastics equipment.

Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and maintain efficient manufacturing operations.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.
