What We Do : Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Lifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,000 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 20,000 youth ages 4-18 annually in and from 110+ Title I schools across LA County!

Role Overview
The Visual and Performing Arts Associate is responsible for supporting expanded learning staff with curriculum and training to ensure the delivery of high-quality programming for visual arts clubs. The VAPA Associate will research and identify emerging practices in visual arts to develop curriculum that supports high quality program implementation. The VAPA Associate will work as a part of the Learning & Development Team and work collaboratively to develop training on topics such as sketching, arts and crafts, drawing, painting, and 3D printing. The VAPA Associate will collaborate with visual arts leaders to develop and design training and curriculum for new and exciting VAPA Club Leaders. The VAPA Associate will deliver training in person or remotely.
The Visual and Performing Arts Associate is a hybrid position, including working in person at the Woodcraft Rangers main office, school sites, and remotely.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is detail oriented, energetic, ambitious, proactive, and positive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Multi-tasking and attention to detail must be strengths this individual possesses. Individuals need to be comfortable to present and speak in front of staff and peers during in-person training.

Full-time; Non-Exempt
Hourly Range : $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Hours of Operation : 9 : 00am – 5 : 00pm (with some weekends as needed)
Location : Los Angeles (Little Tokyo Office)
