We are looking for a motivated and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer who is proactive, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and can collaborate effectively with product development and business teams and directly with customers to launch new products in various markets and applications.

Essential Job Functions :
- Coordinate with external machine builders for the production of machinery.
- Conduct supplier research and procure equipment, providing cost-benefit analyses as necessary.
- Define project requirements, machine specifications, budget, scope, and timelines.
- Develop prototypes in-house utilizing CNC and manual machine tools (router, lathe, mill, drill press, etc.).
- Engage directly with operators and production managers to identify and implement labor-saving or product-enhancing automation solutions.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting production issues related to machinery and automation. Produce operation and maintenance manuals for in-house designs
- Actively participate as a team member across engineering, scientific research, and business leadership functions.
What you will bring :
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
- At least 8 years of industry experience in mechanical or manufacturing design and commissioning.
- Familiarity with Automation, Robotics, and Lean Manufacturing concepts is a plus
- Experience in equipment sourcing for manufacturing purposes.
- Proficiency in DFMA, CAD software (preferably Fusion 360 and / or AutoCAD), FEA, Stress Analysis, and CAM.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying established design codes such as NFPA, OSHA, and ASME.
