At AMERICAN, the IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including computer systems, storage, network switches, network cameras, wireless networks, backup systems, and phone systems. This role requires strong skills in server virtualization technology, desktop / laptop and server operating systems, networking protocols, security practices, and experience working with third-party cloud environments. The IT Infrastructure Architect works independently and in a team environment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT infrastructure, collaborate with vendors and other IT employees, and produce and maintain technical documents. The position works under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure & Operations.
