Payroll Specialist
Western Digital is seeking a Payroll Specialist with subject matter expertise to oversee multiple aspects of US and Europe payroll processing. This role will be responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, timeliness and compliance with applicable regulations. This role will report to and work closely with the Senior Payroll Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Creating, auditing and processing regular payroll calculations, bonus payroll calculations and year-end adjustments
- Managing time and attendance data processes
- Process exception items requiring special handling
- Perform analysis and review of data
- Analyze, reconcile, audit and resolve complex payroll issues to ensure a smooth payroll processing
- Ensure payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, accounting principles and all applicable laws / regulations
- Communicating with employees / managers in connection with the payroll effort
- Manage and / or participate on special projects
- Identify and drive process improvements that result in efficiency and accuracy improvements
- Maintain and enhance payroll subject matter expertise and keep up-to-date on latest payroll requirements
- Provide payroll processing support / backup as needed
Required :
5+ years of US payroll processing experience requiredStrong experience with 3rd party payroll providers, including ADP and DayforceDemonstrated ability to accurately prepare, process and audit payrollsExhibits sound judgment, excellent analytical skills, discretion and confidentialityStrong knowledge of payroll tax lawsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamPreferred :
3+ years of regional Europe payroll processing experienceExperience in developing payroll processes and proceduresAssociates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business fieldSkills :
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
