Spherion has upcoming temporary and temp to hire Administrative Assistant positions in the Lafayette, LA area. The ideal Administrative Assistant is someone who is comfortable using a computer, can manage a busy schedule, and will give clients and team members great service. Within this role, the Administrative Assistant keeps the office running smoothly every day. ...


Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift such as 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $15-20/hr. Depending on specific job duties and candidate experience

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for greeting visitors and answering phone inquiries, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
  • Manage executive calendars, manage and distribute mail, coordinate travel arrangements, and oversee meeting logistics (including virtual and hybrid setups).
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and additional software to draft correspondence (email, memos, etc.), generate reports, and automate routine data entry.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping, process expense reports, and manage office supply inventory and vendor relationships.
  • Track deadlines for ongoing department projects and assist in the onboarding process for new hires.


Education:

  • High School
  • College Degree or some college is a plus.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years in an administrative or office support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams). Familiarity with AI productivity tools or CRM software is a significant plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with all levels of management.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with a "problem-solver" mindset.
