About The Position
We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in New Mexico, starting on Oct 13, 2025. The role involves sporadic night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, managing critical care conditions as a solo practitioner. This position requires handling advanced procedures such as A&C lines, intubations, and chest tubes, with a need to manage complex cases that may require interaction with nearby facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as the solo critical care practitioner during night shifts.Perform advanced procedures such as A&C lines, intubations, and chest tubes.Manage critical care patients independently, ensuring continuity of care with daytime teams.Coordinate patient transfer and communications with a flagship hospital for specific cases like cardiac, GI, IR, and surgery.Document and maintain accurate patient records using the EMR system Powerchart.Additional Information
Required Board Certifications : Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)Other Required Certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)Must be able to provide case logs demonstrating recent procedure experience.No provision for training or proctoring; candidates must be fully competent upon commencement of the role.Benefits
