As a BioPharmaceuticals Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting our infusion product. You will drive demand creation through comprehensive clinical knowledge, implementing effective sales and marketing strategies tailored to the local market, and collaborating to deliver approved services to meet the needs of each account. Our Account Managers excel in navigating the complex commercialization challenges of today’s rapidly evolving environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Business Planning & Account Leadership : Utilize digital tools and customer insights to identify opportunities, develop strategic plans, and prioritize resources to maximize territory effectiveness.
- Selling : Communicate value propositions clearly and compellingly, addressing customer needs and objections, and ensuring actionable commitments drive behavior change.
- Customer Development : Foster an entrepreneurial mindset to build and maintain robust relationships through effective communication and collaboration aligned with customer needs and organizational objectives.
- Payer Access : Navigate complex reimbursement and distribution landscapes effectively, anticipating impacts on the product portfolio and resolving payer access issues with Lundbeck resources.
- Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise : Analyze market trends and account linkages while leveraging comprehensive therapeutic knowledge to identify and prioritize unique opportunities.
- Pharmaceutical Environment / Compliance : Stay informed on pharmaceutical regulations and industry practices, ensuring adherence to corporate, FDA, and PDMA guidelines.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS :
Bachelor's degree in Arts or Sciences from an accredited institution.5+ years of Specialty Sales experience in Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Biologics, or Medical Device environments.Ownership and accountability in developing and executing integrated account plans.Self-starter mentality with a strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills.Demonstrated record of consistent sales performance.Ability to excel in product knowledge exams, with annual certification on product expertise.Proficient in Microsoft Office software.Residency within 40 miles of designated territory.Valid driver's license with a safe driving record compliant with company standards.Must meet reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers / customer facilities for continued employment.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :
Experience in infusion / rare disease sales, especially within Outpatient Infusion settings and Specialty Pharmacies, with in-depth knowledge of pricing and reimbursement.Neurology experience focused on migraine treatment.Background in both medical and specialty pharmacy benefit markets.Experience in high-influence customer engagement in clinics, health systems, infusion centers, and alternative care sites.Experience with product launches or expansions in new therapeutic classes.Strong analytical skills with familiarization in using sales data tools to recognize trends.Demonstrated leadership through active participation in committees, job rotations, panels, and related initiatives.TRAVEL :
Willingness to travel 30% - 40% domestically to regularly engage with customers and internal personnel within the assigned area, as well as attend 4-8 internal / external meetings and conferences.Salary Range : $150,000 - $180,000 with eligibility for a sales incentive target of $41,500.
