Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Location : Columbia, MD

Pay Rate : $18.00 / hour

Contract Type : Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Work Hours : 9 : 00 AM 6 : 00 PM (Hybrid Onsite Monday through Friday for the first two weeks of training - Tuesday / Thursday / Friday onsite after training.)

Overview

TEKsystems' client is seeking Bilingual Customer Service Representatives to join a fast-paced support team for an Automated Traffic Safety Enforcement program. This role is ideal for individuals who are fluent in English and Spanish, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a structured, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from citizens regarding parking violations.
  • Provide accurate information and resolution in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Perform data entry, document verification, and assist with payment processing.
  • Navigate multiple computer applications confidently.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of customer interactions.
  • Uphold a high level of attentiveness and professionalism onsite.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, including 1 year in a call center.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 3035 WPM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Work Environment & Expectations

    Onsite attendance and punctuality are critical. Must be fully attentive during shifts, including breaks. Calls are monitored for quality assurance.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
