Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, the Mental Health/ Substance Use Disorder Counselor will review of main responsibilities. The Mental Health / Substance Use Disorder Counselor will work on a Full-Time basis out of Helio Health's Rochester Detox Program. The schedule is Sunday-Thursday.

Pay Rate: $19.23- $24.89 per hour.

Maintain a case load of patients seeking treatment from the effects of substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
• Participate in program, administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
• Relate effectively with staff, clients, and community while upholding confidentiality requirements.

• High School Diploma or GED required, associates or bachelors preferred.
• CASAC-T required or CASAC-P eligible.
• One year counseling experience preferred.
• Equivalent alternative combination of education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
• Knowledge of addiction/recovery, behavioral health, self-help group process and principles of counseling.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
