Work is primarily performed onsite at our location and out in the local community.
SUMMARY : Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is a 24 hour resource for mental health and substance use crisis intervention.
Our goals are to lessen crisis trauma, divert individuals from Emergency rooms and traditional court systems, prevent unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations and help identify a potential crisis in advance and assist with linkage to an outpatient provider.
JOB FUNCTION : Functions as a team member within a multi-agency team in the delivery of crisis intervention services, case management, and assessment services to mental health consumers;
provides primarily / outreach services; coordinates with residential units, hospitals and schools for fast delivery of services.
Acts as a resource for local law enforcement agencies and local crisis hotlines. Capable of navigating telemedicine when indicated.
Note : You may be required to drive your own personal vehicle while on duty. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree in social services or a behavioral health field with at least two (2) years of experience working with children and families.
Familiarity working in community settings preferred. A valid driver’s license is required as some driving and / or transportation may be required to take clients to medical appointments, job sites, social activities and other community resources.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Exposure to consumers and a variety of program conditions, which may include long, irregular hours, on-call duties, weekend hours, and local travel.
Exposure to a wide range of community environments outside the agency including client homes, school, or other community locations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Requires sitting, standing, typing, and driving. May require alternative work hours, Candidate must pass a level two background screening and must have reliable transportation.
Ability to travel locally. Services may be provided in a variety of setting and environments. Ability to hear and see in emergency situations.
Must be able to complete NAPPI training and perform NAPPI techniques. Must be able to communicate orally or in writing.
