Veterinary Technician – Internal Medicine   Shift / Schedule : 4 day, 10 hour shift or 5 day, 8 hour shift including rotating Saturdays   Round Rock, TX   Heart of Texas is looking for an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. About You Internal Medicine technicians perform a variety of animal-health duties and ensure quality pet and client care. They should be proficient in duties including but not limited to : pet parent communication, anesthesia, patient monitoring, venipuncture, patient recovery, and medical math. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of anesthetics, diagnostic imaging, laboratory techniques, and general patient care. They should be able to remain calm during stressful situations.  Our Ideal Candidate :

• Has knowledge of basic veterinary practices
• Able to appropriately handle animals
• Able to assist in veterinary medical procedures
• Recent experience in a veterinary practice
• Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Willing to help in multiple specialty / ER departments as needed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
