Position - Sr. Kafka Admin / Platform Engineer

Location - New York City, NY (Hybrid)

Duration - 12 Months plus contract

Job Description

• Setup new Confluent Kafka platform.
• Upgrade and maintain existing platform to approved version in the organization.
• Implement security best practices for Kafka cluster.
• Maintain & tune Kafka cluster for scalability and performance.
• Understanding of Kafka Brokers.
• Understanding of Kafka client (Producer and consumer) concepts.
• Collaborate among development teams, product Managers, operations teams and architecture groups.
• Ability to install and configure Kafka On-prem (must) and Confluent Cloud (good to have).
• Good scripting and automation skills.
• Observability skills to monitor tools / infrastructure (good to have).
