This Level 1 Trauma Center is a major teaching hospital and member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) with 855 total staffed beds. The facility provides short-term acute care services with comprehensive trauma capabilities. The 5S unit features 37 beds including 25 floor beds, 6 stepdown beds, and 6 pediatric beds, offering intermediate care for trauma and surgical patients. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
