Details :

  • Duration : This is a 2-week project with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
  • Compensation : $28 / hour (W2)
  • Location : On-site in New York City (Liberty Street)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Administrative Assistant for a crucial short-term contract role in our client's New York City office. This position is essential for providing comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the efficient operation of a unit or department head. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience and judgment to manage complex and varied responsibilities, often requiring a high degree of creativity and independent execution.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and execute a variety of complex administrative functions to support the daily operations of the unit or department head.
  • Expertly schedule appointments, manage calendars, handle incoming communications, and provide information to callers.
  • Draft, edit, and compose professional memos and correspondence, and accurately transcribe notes and dictation.
  • Research, create, and format professional presentations and generate detailed reports as required.
  • Prepare, monitor, and process invoices and expense reports with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Successfully handle and prioritize multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion.
  • May be required to assist with the compilation and development of the annual budget.
  • Expected to operate with a wide degree of creativity and latitude, applying prior experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • May provide direction or lead the work of junior support staff.
  • Qualifications :

  • Experience : A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an administrative support role or a related area is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Skills : Proven ability to manage complex scheduling, superior written and verbal communication, and demonstrated proficiency with office software for presentations, reports, and financial documents.
  • Attributes : Must be a self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and is comfortable performing a variety of complicated tasks.
