Sr. Mechanical Designer - Hybrid

Type : W2 Only – No C2C or 3rd Party Candidates

Pay Rate : $40 / hour+ (Depending on Qualifications)

Overview :

A leading manufacturer of engineered HVAC systems is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Designer to join their team in Plymouth, MN . This role will support custom product development efforts, focusing on sustaining engineering, configurator logic, and design documentation for specialized HVAC solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Utilize SolidWorks and proprietary tools to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support product customization
• Work with automated systems and legacy design programs for data management and configuration
• Design solutions within a product configurator framework, ensuring manufacturability and compliance
• Generate and maintain fabrication drawings, purchase drawings, and engineering instructions
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and automation-related issues
• Contribute to process improvement and automation workflows
• Translate 3D layouts into production-ready documentation and support system logic for configurators

Qualifications :

Work Arrangement :

This is a hybrid position, requiring 2–3 days onsite per week at the Plymouth, MN location. The remaining days may be worked remotely, based on team needs and performance. Candidates should be located within commuting distance and comfortable with a flexible onsite schedule.
