Alisal, a luxury 10,500 private acre working Ranch and Resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage Team. This full-time, non-exempt position entails supervising and coordinating activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests and performing administrative duties in the Food and Beverage office. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to : overseeing breakfast, lunch and dinner service at the venue assigned. Scheduling dining reservations and arranging parties or special services for diners. Addressing guest opportunities and updating management on situations. Assigning work tasks. Inspecting dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and sourcing dining room supplies for tables and serving stations. Training dining room employees in proper service etiquette. Supporting management in accountability measures. Preparing daily seating chart. Completing service charge sheets and banquet invoices. Preparing beverages and expediting food orders when needed to assist staff. Enforcing and overseeing all bar sanitation programs. Setting up hospitality suites when required. Receiving daily liquor, beer, wine and beverage deliveries and store. Ringing up charges using POS system. Verifying all guest checks are signed including room number. Attending required meetings. Conducting any other assignments as directed by senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of prior F&B hospitality experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Desire to establish outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.
• Experience with CA labor laws, timekeeping, POS systems, reading, and utilizing financial statements.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees.
• Integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
• Skilled at multi-tasking, heightened attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull minimum 50 lbs.
• Able to work on site and to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
• Ability to work outside, indoors, in varying temperatures.
