Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, whether part of their routine care or seeking answers for life-defining health decisions. This role requires drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and delivering high-touch service with confidence and compassion. The PSR II fosters trust and comfort while maintaining confidentiality and procedural accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily operations under area supervisor guidance
Ensure a safe and professional work environment
Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens per protocol
Verify and label patient samples in presence of the patient
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and coworkers
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients
3+ years total phlebotomy experience with capillary collections
2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred)
Customer service background in retail / service setting (preferred)
Nice-to-Have Experience
Keyboard / data entry experience
On-call, weekend, and flexible work scheduling
Multi-location phlebotomy assignments
Required Skills
High-level phlebotomy competence including pediatric / geriatric
Strong independent work ability and judgment
Clear communication and transparency with all stakeholders
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
Preferred Skills
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere)
Additional Skills
Strong multitasking in high-volume settings
Ability to quickly adapt to procedural or environmental changes
Commitment to workplace safety, dress code, and professional excellence
