We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of General Manager for both our main kitchen and satellite kitchen operations.
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of both kitchens, ensuring high quality food product and service standards are consistently met.
This role involves managing and supporting the Main Kitchen Manager and Satellite Kitchen Manager in their day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities :
Leadership and Management - Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Main Kitchen Manager and Satellite Kitchen Manager, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Set clear expectations and goals for both teams and ensure accountability.
Operations Oversight - Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, inventory management, menu planning, and quality control.
Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Quality Assurance - Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across both kitchens. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Staff Development - Support the development and training of kitchen staff, providing coaching and feedback to enhance skills and performance.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Budget Management - Work closely with the Main Kitchen Manager and Satellite Kitchen Manager to develop and manage budgets for food and labor costs.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies while maintaining quality standards.
Vendor Relations - Build and maintain relationships with food suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high quality ingredients and products.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to optimize cost-effectiveness.
Menu Development - Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative and appealing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
Monitor menu performance and make adjustments as needed to drive sales and profitability.
Communication - Facilitate clear and effective communication between the main kitchen, satellite kitchen, and other departments within the organization.
Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are informed of key developments and initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the food service industry, with specific experience in kitchen operations management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
