Environmental Services Aide Floor Buffer
The Environmental Services Aide Floor Buffer provides floor maintenance on various types of tiled, carpeted, terrazzo, and wood floor surfaces, stairs, and stairwell landings. Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Physical and Sensory Requirements :
Standing up to eight hours a day, two to four hours at a time. Walking up to eight hours a day, two to four hours at a time. Fingering and handling frequently. Twisting and turning of hands occasionally. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent carrying up to 25 lbs. Occasionally up to 50 lbs. Frequently pushing and pulling up to 75 lbs., occasionally exceeding 100 lbs. Occasionally stoops, bends, squats, kneels, and reaches above shoulder level. Rarely climbs ladder up to 10 feet. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation seeing as it relates to general and near vision.
Minimum Education Qualifications :
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
Training and Experience : Three to six months experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting. Three to six months experience in floor maintenance.
