HR Compensation Consultant
The HR Compensation Consultant will provide support for compensation, integration, and harmonization initiatives across the organization. They will help support a portfolio of service lines and areas in all aspects of Compensation, coordinating that effort with a Compensation Manager. The following states are currently paused for sourcing new candidates or for new relocation requests from current caregivers : California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington. Essential Functions include supporting integration and harmonization through work on various projects including job catalog harmonization and support, job description support, organization design and integration, and impact cost analysis. They will gather feedback on proposals, analyze data, coordinate various reviews in partnership with HR professionals. They will provide education and training on compensation projects, procedures, and policies, assist with preparing presentations, and provide recommendations based on review and analysis of data as requested. They will partner with members of the Compensation team, and all levels of business and HR leaders, to support Compensation initiatives, goals, and plans. They will be the first line of contact for most compensation requests, appropriate responding to inquiries, doing initial information gathering, assessing needs, opportunities, and needed involvement. They will manage emotional requests and challenging situations and outcomes, involving and escalating as needed to Comp Manager, HR, and operations leader. They will manage and compete service ticket requests on a variety of compensation topics, including triaging incoming tickets, quick and accurate responses and resolutions to tickets, and covering for other consultants' tickets as needed. They will review and approve pay rate offers for appropriateness and equity. Offers can include direct requests from HR or Managers as well as escalated tickets from Talent Acquisition. They will conduct equity reviews to determine if a pay increase is needed or appropriate based on experience and equity. They will perform job evaluation initial review, obtain market data, check comparable and equity, grade recommendation, and escalate polished proposals to Comp Manager. They will coordinate job set up process including additional reviews. They will support Compensation managers with significant annual compensation initiatives and projects such as annual incentives and annual increases. They will complete or assist on compensation reviews, audits, and analysis of various project types and subjects. They will gather and organize data, identify issues and opportunities, and present findings and recommendations quickly, accurately, and concisely.
Skills include Human Resources (HR), Finance, Management Reporting, Accounting, Decision Making, HR Compensation, Communication, Business, Compensation Strategies, and Data Analysis. Minimum qualifications include experience in Human Resources, Accounting, or Finance, demonstrated problem solving skills, demonstrated ability to work independently, experience in a role requiring effective project management skills, a high degree of accuracy, and sound decision making with limited supervision. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex datasets, demonstrated experience working cross functionally with leaders and caregivers, and ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously in an agile and organized manner. Preferred qualifications include experience working directly with compensation policy and procedures, human resource healthcare experience, experience in a role with budgeting and finance tracking responsibilities, and advanced working knowledge of electronic spreadsheets, word processing, and HRMS database programs. Physical requirements include interacting with others requiring the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, operating computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulating paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands, seeing and reading computer monitors and documents, and remaining sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment. The location is Employee Service Center, Work City is Murray, Work State is Utah, and the scheduled weekly hours are 40. The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $37.31 - $58.75.
