Position Summary :

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and qualified Science Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be able to teach middle and / or high school-level science courses—including but not limited to Physical Science, Biology, and Environmental Science—through engaging, hands-on instruction. A strong understanding of inquiry-based and project-based learning is essential to support our commitment to student-centered education and real-world application of scientific principles.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deliver science lessons aligned with academic standards and M.H.G.’s spiritual and educational goals.
  • Utilize inquiry-based and project-based learning strategies to promote critical thinking, exploration, and deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Integrate Christian principles and Biblical worldview into the teaching of science.
  • Encourage hands-on learning through labs, group activities, presentations, and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Assess student understanding through a variety of formative and summative methods.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that promotes academic and spiritual growth.
  • Communicate consistently with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  • Participate in professional development, school functions, staff meetings, and spiritual enrichment activities.
  • Inspire students to explore science beyond the classroom, including participation in fairs, competitions, or special projects.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field required.
  • Valid teaching certification or willingness to pursue certification (Bible college degree accepted with commitment to obtaining credentials).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in inquiry-based and project-based instruction.
  • Prior experience teaching middle or high school students is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
  • A committed Christian who models faith, integrity, and leadership.
  • Passion for helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
