Base pay range

$130,000.00 / yr - $150,000.00 / yr

This role is just for US Citizens - You will need at least Public Trust Clearance.

We're hiring a first-hire AI / ML Engineer for a legal tech company based in Washington, DC (hybrid). This is a hands-on role building intelligent systems that process large volumes of legal and government documents - from scanned PDFs to handwritten records.

This role is about autonomy, ownership, and production-level delivery. You'll be building the data science function from the ground up.

What you'll be working on :

• Designing and deploying OCR pipelines to handle unstructured and degraded data
• Automating redaction of sensitive information (PII, PHI, classified content)
• Building LLM-based summarization and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
• Leading end-to-end ML workflows : from preprocessing to deployment
