Overview
Join a dynamic and growing rehabilitation team in Miami, FL as a Certified Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist) . This is a full-time opportunity to provide specialized, patient-centered care for individuals recovering from hand and upper extremity injuries. This role offers autonomy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional growth within a supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, plan, and administer individualized occupational therapy treatment programs.
Deliver advanced hand therapy techniques to restore functional movement and independence.
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other care professionals to optimize recovery outcomes.
Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and recovery strategies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and infection control programs.
Contribute to departmental performance, growth, and program development.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Masters preferred).
Active Florida Occupational Therapy License .
Minimum 12 years of hand therapy experience .
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credentials or eligibility to obtain certification.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Ability to work Monday to Friday with rotating weekends .
Preferred :
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based hand therapy and splinting techniques.
Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
