Mold Maintenance Assistant

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Mold Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance and upkeep of plastic molding equipment and molds. The role involves assisting with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to ensure efficient and safe production operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of plastic molds and molding equipment.

Perform routine inspections of molds and equipment to identify issues or wear.

Support the setup and changeover of molds for production runs.

Help troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues under the guidance of senior maintenance staff.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.

Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and lockout / tagout procedures.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.

Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or experience in plastic molding preferred.

Previous experience in mold maintenance, plastic molding, or manufacturing is a plus.

Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools safely.

Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (standing, bending, reaching).

Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Working Conditions :

Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and chemicals.

PPE required as per company safety standards.
