Construction Observer

Job Summary : Huitt-Zollars, Inc  has full time opportunities for  Construction Observers  in the  Rio Rancho area with a minimum 5 year's experience . This role works on-site and performs quality assurance inspections, reporting, review of contract documents and drawings, schedules, quality control plans. Candidates must pass HZ security clearance review. This position works in the field at the project location.

Location : Rio Rancho, NM Education : High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and registration a plus

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Provide daily quality assurance inspection of construction to determine compliance with contract documents and specifications.
• Review construction contractor submittals for compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Provide Daily reports of surveillance activities and monthly progress reports.
• Inspect on-site plant (storage yards and temporary facilities), materials and equipment for full compliance with contract plans, specifications, and OSHA requirements.
• Observe construction contractors, subcontractor’s performance of work.
• Provide recommendations to appropriate HZ representatives as to whether work is in full compliance.
• Provide technical support, review contract pay request for accuracy and process submittals.
• Attend meetings for inspection coordination, contract administration, site security and all other project matters.
• Perform closeout and warranty execution responsibility to include ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
