Income Qualified Programs (IQP) Compliance Advisor
Join Southern California Edison (SCE) as an Income Qualified Programs (IQP) Compliance Advisor.
SCE's IQP portfolio is leading the way in California to help customers save energy, reduce energy costs, and contribute to a clean energy future. This position supports SCE's world-class Advanced Energy Solutions (AES) portfolios, programs, products, and services, including IQP.
You will serve as a trusted point of contact regarding IQP regulatory compliance matters and will be empowered to make decisions and provide direction on regulatory compliance initiatives and issues that have a significant impact on CP&S and SCE.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, analyzes, and communicates legislative and regulatory issues, as well as trends and emerging issues that could have a potential impact on the business divisions
- Maintains thorough understanding of pending regulatory proceedings, rulemakings and other initiatives affecting the company's business interests
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with government, regulators, utilities and market participants
- Performs reviews of contracts to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and solicitation requirements
- Formulates company strategies internally for communication in the marketplace
- Maintains thorough knowledge of current regulations and potential developments of regulation and market design across energy markets and products
- Manages and tracks corrective action responses by ensuring actions are implemented and appropriately documented
- Advises business units on compliance with regulations and requirements for the marketing and sale of energy, and transactional and operating rules and guidelines
- Advises business units on regulatory compliance reporting, monitors and conducts surveillance of compliance processes and transactions, and conducts compliance investigations
- Participates in the development of regulatory strategies and policies that support business strategies
- Ensures the protection of all physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accesses and manages private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven or more years of experience with regulatory filings / proceedings and compliance standards.Preferred Qualifications
Experience using project management principlesBachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Public Policy, Engineering, Finance, or other related fieldExperience performing and developing work products and / or policies directly associated with ensuring regulatory complianceExperience working in a regulated industryExperience with customer facing programsProject Management certificationCertification in a compliance-related field, such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, etc.Additional Information
This position's work mode is hybrid.
