Position Title : Data Load Assistant
Department : Student Financial Services
Job Description : Provide Federal and Private financial aid assistance to the Data Load Manager and Student Financial Services Department
Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible for the daily importing and exporting of federal financial aid to and from the Dept. of Education and Banner systems including resolving any conflicting information prior to submitting to the Data Load Manager for auditing and reporting purposes.
Processes Federal Work Study for student accounts including adjusting awards as needed and communicating with Data Load Manager / Human Resources.
Communicates with students according to federal regulations regarding the disbursement of their federal and private loans.
Responsible for importing and exporting private loan data through ELM or individual lender interfaces.
Responsible for the quarterly reporting and communications to students with respect to loan exit counseling.
Responsible for running monthly reports and other duties as assigned by Data Load Manager.
Assist Data Load Manager in conducting annual loan exit counseling workshops.
Currently enrolled student in good academic standing
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Education : Must be a current student attending La Sierra University
Experience : Experience working in a professional environment preferred but not required.
Skills Required : Must be detail oriented to successfully perform all tasks required for this position. Applicants should have some knowledge of a Windows environment and PC computer systems. The ability to operate a computer calculator facsimile copier business phone and other standard office equipment is essential. Communication skills are needed to deliver financial aid information to both students and parents. Math and interpersonal skills are a plus.
Hours : 20 - 25 hours per week
Pay Rate : $16.50 / hr.
