We are seeking a high energy, motivated Lead Maintenance Technician

Assists maintenance employees by performing a variety of supportive tasks.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS

• Cleans facility grounds inside and outside of gated fleet parking by collecting debris and disposing of waste.
• Answer after-hours calls, including security and fire alarm alerts, and respond to facilities or equipment emergencies to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Will support the Facility and Fleet Manager with supervising and completing tasks for day-to-day operations.
• Maintains facility’s interior and exterior appearance by repairing and painting surfaces as needed.
• Performs all types of building maintenance and light construction projects to support preventative maintenance and the production process.
• Help ensure consistent and efficient operation of conveyor system by regularly lubricating and cleaning based upon a pre-determined schedule.
• Makes minor repairs to mechanical operations by utilizing hand tools and small power tools as required.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Use of PPE when needed or required.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain Fire Pumps and assist with quarterly Fire Pump Inspections at Lyons and Syracuse

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitoring and advising the progress of all building and office cleaning. Oversee maintenance performed by outside contractors. Provides general guidance of internal facilities custodian.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Occasional travel may be required to Syracuse and Buffalo Depots to complete needed maintenance tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certifications, and / or licenses :

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Valid Driver’s License, clean MVR record as per our Company Fleet Safety Policy

EXPERIENCE :

3 years of related experience (electrical (480v / 277v / 120v), plumbing, carpentry, equipment, mechanical, Conveyor / Sorter, forklift repair)

1 year of forklift, aerial lift, and floor scrubbing equipment experience.
