Position Summary
Our Assistant General Managers (AGMs) are vital to our operations team, driving high standards in quality, cleanliness, financial results, culture, and hospitality. They are energetic hospitality experts passionate about their teams. The AGM role is a stepping stone to General Manager and is designed to develop future leaders by fostering professionalism, teamwork, empowerment, and excellence.
Leadership & Team Development
- Promote and model 4 Star’s core values : Professionalism, Positive Attitude, Guest First, Quality / Excellence, Teamwork, and Integrity.
- Coach and develop Restaurant Managers and hourly team members, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
- Assist the GM in executing team training, education plans, and succession development.
- Ensure effective communication between departments and team members at all levels.
- Lead and contribute to regular manager meetings with clear agendas and actionable outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative, guest-focused culture by setting high standards and leading by example.
Financial & Operational Oversight
Collaborate with the GM to manage budgets, sales forecasting, labor, inventory, and cost control strategies.Oversee repair, maintenance, and compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.Conduct quarterly building audits with the Director of Operations and follow through on corrective plans.Enforce adherence to all company operational systems and standards, ensuring no unauthorized changes occur.Guest Experience
Actively enga ge with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns in real time.Support kitchen and bar execution to meet target ticket times and service quality standards.Communicate guest feedback with team members for ongoing service improvementQualifications
2+ years Assistant General Manager experience or equivalent leadership in fast-paced, full-service restaurants.Proficient in P&L management, budgeting, team leadership, and restaurant technology.Strong verbal and written communication skills .Passionate about hospitality, team development, and results-driven leadership.Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Physical Requirements & Work Environment
