As a Maintenance Manager your leadership and technical expertise help ensure our campus remains safe functional and beautiful. You will guide a dedicated team while also working hands-on to maintain an environment where residents feel at home.
What You Will Do
Provide full-spectrum facilities support and leadership across electrical plumbing HVAC carpentry painting grounds / landscaping locksmithing / security and safety / compliance
Organize schedule and oversee the daily work of the maintenance team
Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance repairs inspections and preventive maintenance
Work outdoors in all seasons; oversee landscaping snow removal and campus beautification
Operate and guide staff in the safe use of maintenance tools equipment and power machinery
Maintain proper documentation of work orders incidents and service reports
Ensure safe storage and use of equipment and supplies
Assist with moving residents equipment furnishings and event setup / teardown
Respond to off-duty emergencies staff absences and special events
Purchase and deliver supplies and parts as approved
Support hiring training coaching and performance evaluations of facilities staff
Assist with budgeting project cost estimates and departmental planning
Follow and enforce all safety procedures PPE requirements and use of cones barricades caution signs and other safety equipment
Participate in the Maintenance On-Call rotation including rotating weekends
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism with residents families and staff
Follow HIPAA and Corporate Compliance guidelines
Perform additional maintenance and supervisory duties as assigned
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of five years of maintenance experience
Valid Virginia drivers license clean driving record and reliable transportation
Ability to safely operate and instruct others in the use of maintenance tools and power equipment
Preferred : journeyman-level or higher skill in trades such as HVAC electrical plumbing carpentry or painting
Preferred : leadership or supervisory experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and lead a diverse team
Comfort working with an older adult population while maintaining confidentiality
A dependable safety-focused and resident-centered attitude
Physical Demands
Ability to climb walk long distances stand bend reach and work in various indoor and outdoor environments
Ability to lift push pull and carry up to 100 pounds
Ability to lift and move medium to heavy equipment and furnishings
Periods of prolonged sitting at a desk or working on a computer
Ability to work on feet for extended periods while performing maintenance tasks
