Estimated Weekly Pay : $2540–$2610 per week

Assignment Type : Travel Cath Lab Tech contract

Facility : Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center

Location : Springfield, Illinois

Start Date : October 13, 2025

End Date : January 12, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shifts : 3x12-hour day shifts (06 : 30 – 19 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

On-Call : Rotating call during the week and weekends

Weekend Requirement : 2-3 weekends per contract

Charting System : Cerner

Scrub Color : Provided

Parking : Free with permit

Cath Lab Tech Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cath Lab Tech or CT / Rad Tech in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting

Active Illinois state license (required for Illinois healthcare jobs)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS (AHA or Red Cross only)

Experience with Cerner charting system

Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures

Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias

Strong infection control skills, including sterile technique and isolation precautions

Competency in caring for adult and geriatric patients

Ability to float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including cardiac stent placement, closure device implantation, and IABP placement / removal

Set up and operate specialized equipment for cardiac procedures

Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias

Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care

Participate in rotating on-call coverage and weekend shifts

Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner

Provide age-appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients
