About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide person-centered care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community. Youll assist with daily living activities, implement individualized goals, and foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages growth and independence.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others, enjoys being active in the community, and is looking for a meaningful, hands-on position with real impact.
Key Responsibilities
Care and Support
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as hygiene, meals, and light housekeeping while encouraging independence
- Implement goals outlined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP)
- Foster healthy routines and support client development in line with their abilities and interests
Community Engagement
Accompany clients on outings, appointments, or errandsPromote social inclusion by encouraging community interaction and positive relationshipsProvide safe and reliable transportation using your own vehicleSafety and Communication
Ensure safety in both home and community settingsRespond calmly and effectively in challenging situations, including medical or behavioral emergenciesMaintain regular communication with the administrative teamAccurately complete all required documentation and reportingPhysical Requirements
Ability to assist with lifting, bending, walking, and other physical aspects of caregivingCapable of handling behavioral challenges and supporting individuals with higher needsWhat We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years oldPrior experience as a DSP or in a similar caregiving / support roleComfortable supporting individuals with high behavioral needsAvailable to work weekends (required)Own reliable transportation for use in transporting clientsValid Drivers License and current auto insurance (minimum100k / 300k liability coverage)Smartphone with internet access for documentationAbility to pass a DHS criminal background checkPreferred Skills
