Assistant Project Manager – Land Development
Location : Greater St. Louis, MO (In-office + On-site visits)

Compensation : $45,000–$60,000 / year (DOE)

Distro Capital is hiring on behalf of a Missouri-based land development company that’s scaling fast.
This firm specializes in residential land development — acquiring raw land, managing entitlements, overseeing infrastructure installation, and delivering shovel-ready lots for national homebuilders. With multiple 7- and 8-figure projects already in motion and more coming online every month, the team is expanding and looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support execution across the portfolio.
Role Summary :
The business is scaling fast and we need someone who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced development environment. As our Assistant Project Manager you’ll work directly under senior leadership, managing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring key deliverables get done — from dirt to doors. You’ll support the development lifecycle of our land and vertical‑construction projects across Missouri, contributing to expanding our footprint and output.
Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with senior PMs on multiple active land‑development and vertical‑construction projects
- Maintain and update project timelines, dashboards and status reports
- Monitor deliverables : site clearing, grading, utilities, easements, permits, municipal approvals, builder take‑down coordination
- Attend on‑site visits, validate subcontractor work, report findings and escalate issues
- Coordinate with engineering firms, municipalities, city councils, and builder partners
- Track budgets, commitments, vendor communications and schedule adherence
- Pro‑actively identify bottlenecks / risks (e.g., building setback lines, survey inconsistencies) and recommend solutions
- Support the senior team in scaling systems, workflows and documentation as business continues to grow
Requirements :
2–4 years of experience in construction, land development, civil engineering, or related environmentStrong organizational skills, and comfort working in a dynamic, high‑velocity development settingExcellent communication skills : able to interact with internal stakeholders, external vendors, municipalities and buildersWilling and able to visit sites regularly — valid driver’s license requiredBased in or willing to relocate to the St. Louis / Missouri areaBonus if you have :
