Virginia Healthcare Job Details Location : Richmond, VA 23225 (Virginia nursing jobs) Facility : 4 Front Medical Trauma Unit, 4th Floor Unit Size : 36 beds (32 private rooms, 2 semi-private rooms) Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract (Start : 9 / 8 / 2025, End : 12 / 8 / 2025) Nursing Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1230 - $1270 Dress Code : Navy scrubs EMR System : Meditech Schedule : Every other weekend required; no on-call LPN Job Requirements Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Virginia or compact state Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Strong teamwork and communication skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to nursing care Preferred : Experience in trauma and telemetry units Med / Surg Nursing Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and trauma patients in a 36-bed unit Monitor and document patient status using Meditech EMR system Manage complex wounds, pain, and administer blood products Care for patients with NG tubes, PEG tubes, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and chest tubes Collaborate with registered nurses (RNs), patient care technicians, and other healthcare professionals Utilize clinical equipment including remote telemetry, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse oximeter, scales, and wound vac Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Med / Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Richmond, VA.
