Operations Manager
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night Operations Manager to oversee our nightly janitorial operations. This individual will be responsible for supervising designated service areas, managing labor hours, supporting supervisory staff, coordinating nightly operations, and ensuring service quality across all assigned accounts. This role is essential in ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence through effective leadership, communication, and proactive problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise nightly operations across assigned facilities and service areas.
- Oversee Area Supervisors, Site Supervisors, Floaters, and Cleaners-ensuring tasks are prioritized effectively.
- Manage and control employee labor hours within assigned locations.
- Ensure labor hours stay within budgeted amounts for each account.
- Monitor and control overtime.
- Review hours prior to assigning employees to fill-ins, detailing, or project work.
- Utilize under-hour employees first to maintain budget control.
- Use Chronotek to monitor employee time :
- Verify clock-in / out accuracy and take corrective actions as needed.
- Reassign employees and coordinate fill-ins for vacant shifts.
- Personally fill vacancies if no staff is available.
- Lead and facilitate the daily afternoon Manager's Meeting (MondayFriday).
- Review nightly shift reports :
- Identify issues, designate corrective actions, and assign follow-ups.
- Coordinate product inventory reporting and delivery scheduling.
- Conduct inspections at Level Board Locations and problem accounts :
- Ensure resolution of reported issues and corrective measures are in place.
- Submit formal inspection reports to the Director of Operations.
- Receive prior approval before removing / changing Level Board accounts.
- Re-inspect recurring problem locations and follow up with re-training or staff replacement if necessary.
- Perform 12 site inspections per night with route optimization for efficiency.
- Submit nightly inventory needs and coordinate delivery or delegate.
- Assist with onboarding :
- Support HR in gathering and submitting all new hire paperwork.
- Train and cross-train new and existing employees in assigned areas.
- Provide hands-on cleaning, detailing, and startup support as needed.
- Receive end-of-shift calls from Area Managers and Supervisors to verify completion of tasks (checklists, security, staff accountability).
- Complete and submit termination documentation to HR when needed.
- Submit detailed nightly reports to the Director of Operations, President, Senior Sales Executive, and Business Development Manager.
- Report all employee time issues and disciplinary actions to HR.
- Carry out additional duties and responsibilities within the scope of the position.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years experience in janitorial or facilities operations management (night operations preferred).Strong leadership and decision-making skills.Excellent time management and ability to prioritize under pressure.Familiarity with workforce management systems (Chronotek or similar).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and email communication.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and lead a remote or mobile team.Must be able to travel to multiple facilities and perform physical inspections or cleaning if required.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.Physical Requirements :
