Work hours : Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs / week. Weekend and holiday requirements

- Medical Surgical Department (34 bed) provides quality care to the medical / post surgical patient. Patients are admitted to this 34 bed unit for General Medical surgeries such as appendectomy’s, bowel, knees, hips, joint replacement, gastro and urology surgeries as well as general medical conditions and illnesses.
Here’s What You Need
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma requiredBSN preferredOne-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hireBCLS – prior to providing independent patient care requiredACLS – within 90 days of hire requiredCPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hireOne (1) year of RN experience in Med / surg strongly preferredCharge nurse / preceptor experience preferred.What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patientPlans the care of the patientIntervenes as appropriateEvaluates the effectiveness of interventionsIncorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for informationMaintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.Additional Perks Of Being a Texas Health Nurse
